high payoff |
"Gail is able to quickly get to the heart of the matter but at the same time is kind, compassionate and deeply supportive. She met me where I was at and then we moved forward together. We explored issues in a creative way that had a very high payoff for me." —Paula DeMasi

huge impact |
"You have had a huge impact on my life as a mentor and coach, and I appreciate the ways in which you always help me to look at things in a new way. Your perspective is always refreshing, and often asks me to look toward that edge. That is where the greatest growth occurs, and for that I am grateful." –M.B.
|
generous and empathetic |
"Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your generous heart during my difficult time, I could not have done it without your empathic understanding and loving soul." —R.M.
|
compassion
|
"Gail's brilliant coaching has helped our son in his struggles with unemployment and self doubt. Her compassion and insight are a continued resource to help him gain the life skills to make it through this difficult time." –L.M.M.
|
open and nonjudgmental |
"Gail is very intelligent and perceptive. These qualities make her an excellent coach. She has helped me immeasurably in gaining insight into areas where I am "stuck", and has guided me in figuring out how to move past these entrenched patterns. She is open and nonjudgmental in providing that guidance. She is a fantastic coach." –L.R.

listens deeply |
"Gail is curious and listens deeply to the client. Using the client's agenda as a framework, she allows the client to see deeper than they were able to on their own. I did not hear her invested in a "fix and solve" kind of listening. I also was able to see her "see" her client's expressions and body language and found her to be very attuned to what was going on in real time." –V.W.S.

evokes awareness
|
"Gail has a tremendous ability to hold creative space and evoke awareness through a metaphorical lens...I truly felt as if she 'got me'. That level of presence is a beautiful gift to receive...Also the value of holding the container for a client to generate creative output AND stay focused on what is most important. Thank you Gail." – Rachel Dungan, ICF PCC

We reflexively operate from deep patterns based on past accomplishments. At some point, our old way of being can actually get in the way of what we need to become. Coaching helps you identify and evaluate these automatic responses... replacing them with new ways of working to fit your new goals.

The Coaching Model |
Coaching is not traditional therapy. Coaching is an emerging discipline that draws on the fields of psychology, health, wellness and spirituality. Coaching is a powerful way for you to assert your creative power to shape your life. Start now to create the future you envision.
Many psychotherapists now use coaching as a model, because coaching is based in the power of the possible rather than looking for what is pathology: Coaching sees you as whole, with everything you need to have what you want in life. Consequently, you are the expert for your own life. Coaching helps you connect with your best expertise, identify your life direction and create ways to keep you progressing on your path. Life can be challenging, or leave you wanting more. I'm trained to guide you through such times - including referring you to other professionals as needed for the different facets of your particular need. |
Explanations from the Experts |
“Coaching is about making impossible possible. Clients have specific wishes they want to fulfill and can not seem to find a way to do it on their own.”
—Kuhn, R. Ph.D. (2005). What is coaching? (pp.1-11) “Personal and professional coaching has emerged as a recognized career in the last decade and it has created new options for people who seek help with life transitions in finding a guide to partner with them in designing their desired future.” —Drake, D., Brennan, D., & Gortz, K. (Eds.). (2008). The philosophy and practice of coaching: Insights and issues for a new era. (p. 4). Hoboken, NJ: Jossey-Bass. Ontological coaching is based on the study of ways of being, or how you see yourself acting, specifically in your language, emotion and physiology. When you really observe your words, feelings and body reaction you become conscious of your true alignment, and powerful shifts in behavior and belief become more possible. —Sieler, A. (2003). An ontological approach to coaching. Coaching to the human soul: Ontological coaching and deep change (pp. 1-24). Australia: Newfield. The International Coaching Federation defines coaching as "partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential” (coachfederation.org). |
